About Our SynagogueThe Downtown Synagogue is an inclusive, egalitarian synagogue, affiliated with the Conservative Movement of Judaism. Jews from Battery Park City, Tribeca, downtown and beyond join together for religious observances, social and educational events, and celebrations of lifecycle milestones. Events are held in local venues in our neighborhoods, including The Hallmark, 455 North End Ave., (a senior residence at the corner of Chambers Street and North End Avenue); P.S. 234, 292 Greenwich St. (corner of Chambers St.); PS 89, at 201 Warren St. (West Side of West Street); and Embassy Suites, 102 North End Avenue. Recent events have included a Passover Seder, Jewish food festival, parents’ workshop, services of healing, Shavuot make-your-own sundae party and outdoor Friday night services. Our Statement of Purpose is available as a printable .pdf file. You can download it here. Rabbi: Lea Gavrieli |
